Amber Gris is a natural secretion of the giant Cachalote, composed of indigestible materials and gastric juices. Once the whale expels it into the sea, it must remain there for years, bathed in sunlight, to transform into the substance capable of giving us that unique and complex olfactory experience, reminiscent of seaweed, salinity, and the dusty, dry scents of wood, with subtle, sweet, vaguely earthy, and incense-like nuances. For this reason, ambergris can now also be used in its natural form, rather than synthetically like other raw materials of animal origin. The pieces found on beaches do not imply any contact with the animal itself.
