The story of Cuoium Orto Parisi is truly unique and fascinating. During the early 1900s, a young Vincenzo Parisi was taken away from his family in malaria-infested Puglia to seek better opportunities that the poor rural provinces of southern Italy lacked at the time. Unlike many who dreamed and chased the American dream at the time, Vincenzo’s journey began with him working as a shoemaker in Genoa. It was then that he made his first and only pair of leather shoes, which lasted until his final days. After various maintenance procedures, those shoes eventually lost their original appearance. However, their soul has always remained intact.

Inspired by Vincenzo’s one and only pair of handcrafted leather shoes and with an eye to the future, Cuoium Orto Parisi is a fragrance that shows love and respect for the heritage of leather. It represents a vision of a modern world that stays in touch with its pagan traditions while cherishing its origins, while living with a fascinating aura of mystery. This fragrance is a tribute to the courage and willpower to move forward, to repair rather than replace, and to care for one’s heritage. The cap is made of rusted metal, featuring an original logo carved into vegetable-tanned leather. The bottle is the first in the Orto Parisi line to feature a reusable vegetable-tanned leather liner.
