Jean Claude Ellena says that it is the small centifolia rose or Rose de Mai that gives color to his memory of Grasse at the beginning of the summer, when he accompanied his grandmother in the harvest. Pale pink color, tender complexion, sweet and delicate scent - the rose can be light, sublime, fresh, seductive at times. But it shows off all its sensuality when combined with Musk or Patchouli. "To its provocative call", says Jean Claude, "I responded with languid and voluptuous notes. And from over fifty species of roses I chose the May rose, because it is the most cultivated flower in Grasse, and above all because its scent is the brightest, the sunniest".
