The new women's fragrance from Francè 1795 takes its name from the Queen of Holland, Hortense, mother of Napoleon III, a woman with an adventurous, enterprising and fascinating personality.
Daughter of Marquis Alexandre de Beauharnais and Rose Tascher de la Pageri, known as Josephine, Hortense loved Dutch floral fragrances and Oriental spices, and the perfume opens with spicy and piquant notes of cardamom, pepper and bergamot. The heart is rich in tasty accents of Ceylon cinnamon, Lebanese cedar, Bulgarian rose and incense that evoke the routes of the Dutch East India Company. The base releases warm and sensual notes of woods, incense and vanilla.
